A post about Matt

So, we've been watching kinda fanatically the past two weeks. 
First it was to see the new hosts in action. The host is Mayim Bialik for now and really CANNOT WAIT for Ken Jennings to take over. Not because Mayim is not doing a good job. I really like her as a host. 

I just want Ken to host! That's really all. It's a better story. Here's a guy that is such a Jep champion that having him at the helm just means a lot to him and so many fans. Mayim, let's face it - is kinda random. And hey! I like random. So it's all win win-y over here - -  just give me Ken!!! 

We have also been watching in my house to see Matt tear it up. I mean, my 10 year old is bored by Matt and that is kinda funny actually. Because I feel like there are people out there who don't watch this show because they deem it boring and now it is like boring to a semi-fan (he's 10 and in normal circumstances he only likes watching when there is a tight competition  - aka when Matt isn't winning by a fantastic - almost fantastical - landslide) 

I guess he is a little of a fair weather fan, which is ok to me (his mom) mostly because he is 10. 

Starting him early on a love of trivia is part of the slow game. 

All this to say - Matt!!! 

Watching his calm, slight surprise when he gets some correct & his consistency is entertaining. Thank you Jeopardy!

After the past 5 games all I say when he wins is "What's gonna happen? What are they gonna do?"

I mean the producers. Like how can this just go on and on and on? 

I don't mind. I just wonder. 

Like once he gets past Ken's 74 game winning streak, what happens in the producers' room? 

Wait till he hits 100? 

Close out a season (or 2?) with just one winner? 

Re-name it the Matt show? Haha.

Beep Beep Beep

 It's January 8, 2021 and it has been almost 4 years since our last post. 

The world has changed. The last post took place during what can truly be named "Before" times.  

Not only has our dear Alex Trebek passed away due to a swift bout of cancer but more current events keep on coming. 

The global pandemic has been raging in the US for over 9 months. Trump, the country's 45th president has done incalculable damage to our country and our hearts. 

Just two days ago was the insurrection when Trump supporters gained access to our nation's capitol with guns and ammunition trying to stop the electoral college votes from being officially official (they were certified in each state but Congress and Senate needed to ok them.)

So why does that bring me here?

I needed some joy to pass on and this brought me joy. 

I hope you enjoy it, too and I hope to see some more updates here within the next 4 years!
